Information for Trainers

We encourage you, as trainers, to use CancerInfoNet.org as a tool to provide your community members with the necessary skills to search for cancer information on the Internet. The following resources will assist you in conducting workshops using CancerInfoNet.org.

Talking Points (PDF*) provides background information about the creation of the Web site and gives an overview of the training curriculum.

The Trainer's Manual guides you through an entire workshop. Three versions of the Trainer's Manual are available to customize the workshop according to your audience:

• The Trainer's Manual for Health Care Professionals (PDF*) is targeted to physicians, nurses, social workers and consumer health information providers.
• The Trainer's Manual for Health Consumers in English (PDF*) is targeted to English-speaking health consumers.
• The Trainer's Manual for Health Consumers in Spanish (PDF*) is targeted to Spanish-speaking health consumers.
